For me, recreation is practicing martial arts, exercising, gardening, sewing, baking, and hiking.

Martial Arts

Moo Duk Kwan Tae Kwon Do, Yoseikan Aikido, and T'ai Chi Ch'uan

I am a student of Moo Duk Kwan Tae Kwon Do. I studied at the United Arts College with several excellent instructors under Alex Antipa (Davis) and Grand Master Kang, Myung Kyu (Sacramento) .

Yoseikan Aikido

I study Yoseikan Aikdo with Mr. Palmer Cramer's Yoseikan Aikdo Group at Young's Tae Kwon Do in Bellefonte PA. This photo is from our group's test in Oct 2011. I am now an orange belt which is the rank of Rokyu.

T'ai Chi

Recently I started re-learning Guang Ping Yang T'ai Chi Ch'uan, a form I learned under Sifu Simone Kuo at San Francisco State. Sifu Kuo Lien Ying brought this martial art to the US in the 1960s.

Now that I live in Central Pennsylvania, I participate in T'ai Chi and other martial arts events as time allows. This video is from Bellefonte PA's Talleyrand Park on World T'ai Chi Day 2010. Here is a T'ai Chi form taught by Bruce Hutchinson.

Outdoor Activities

I enjoy gardening, hiking, and hanging out with family and friends.
